　　The US Army, with its extensive combat experience, places greater emphasis on the protection of its soldiers when it comes to first aid kits. The Enhanced First Aid Kit IFAK used by the US Army is based on the principle of protecting life, giving priority to the user's statement, arms and legs and eyesight, and includes a tourniquet, band-aid, chest closure period, thoracentesis needle, sterile alcohol precipitation, eye patch for use in case of injury, safety paper cutter for cutting open the injured person's clothing and back straps, and an injured person record card. Even the US Army's military dogs are similarly equipped with a complete range of first aid items. In addition to some of the first aid items used by soldiers, there are also cotton blankets for dogs, animal thermometers and band-aids for animals.

　　In China, the PLA has developed a new first aid kit and military medical backpack for the first time, and recently a new first aid kit has come to light, which is not large, but has all kinds of first aid supplies for the field, even if it is compared with the US military IFAK first aid kit.

        The new military medical backpack is configured with six modules to stop bleeding, bandaging, fixation, ventilation, liquid infusion and medicine; the single soldier first aid kit is designed with three functional modules to stop bleeding, bandaging and ventilation, and is equipped with first aid medicine equipment such as spin tourniquet and quick-acting hemostatic powder.
